Road User Handbook published in new community languages
Transport for NSW is committed to supporting the needs of multicultural communities and have recently published the Road User Handbook in eight languages including Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Farsi, Spanish, Thai and Vietnamese.
The Road User Handbook covers essential road rules people need to know to drive legally and safely on NSW roads. It is a key document that new drivers read to pass the Driver Knowledge Test, required to get a Learner Licence.
The new translations are available to view or download at nsw.gov.au.
If people require the handbook in other languages they can access road rules and safety information on the NSW Government website in 66 languages, using the translation function.
If you have student drivers that need this new translated content please let them know about these new resources.
New drivers can also complete the Driver Knowledge Test in 10 community languages or arrange a free interpreter by calling Service NSW on 13 22 13.
